Our Art School is an art and ceramics education website run by Sam Mayell and the team behind The Pottery Lounge in New Zealand. Our courses are in development.
What the form saves
We save your email address, selected course, optional creative stage and course-interest answer, time of signup, permission to receive updates and the campaign information attached to the link you used. Joining a list is free and does not enrol you in a course.
How we use it
We use these details to understand which course ideas are useful and to contact you about the course you selected, if it goes ahead. We do not sell your email address.
Visits and measurement
A random identifier in your browser’s session storage helps us count visits to each course page within a browsing session. Our database saves that identifier with the course, offer version and campaign tags. It is not a cross-device identity. No Meta advertising pixel is currently installed.
Protecting the forms
We keep temporary request counters to limit repeated submissions. These use session identifiers and a hashed form of the submitted email address. Expired counters are removed in small batches as requests arrive. These controls do not add an advertising tracker.
Your starter notes
Notes and calculator inputs are saved locally in your browser on this device. They are not sent to our database. You can download a text copy or print them to PDF. Clearing browser data removes the locally saved notes.
Storage and access
Form entries are stored using Cloudflare D1 through Sites hosting. The website owner can access these records. Records may be processed outside your country.
Changing your mind
Course emails will include a preferences link to stop all updates from this education website. These links are delivered only to the recipient’s mailbox, not returned to someone who enters an address in the signup form. We keep a suppression record so another signup does not silently restart emails. We also store message status and delivery attempts for reliability; no email is sent while delivery is disabled. You can ask us to remove your details by emailing sam@sammayell.com. Any marketing emails we send will include an unsubscribe option. Until email delivery is connected, submitting this form does not send a confirmation email.
Questions or access to your details
Contact Sam at sam@sammayell.com to ask what we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or stop course updates. We retain interest-list details while developing the course or until you ask us to remove them. A minimal suppression record is retained to respect opt-out requests.
